Born in South Korea, Jahye Euh started playing the piano at the age of 6 and studied at university in Korea. Then in 2008 she entered Géry Moutier’s class at the CNSMD in Lyon, where she pursued a third cycle “Artist diploma” in Florent Boffard’s class, after unanimously obtaining a master’s degree in piano with honors. She has worked with great performers such as Jean-Claude Pennetier, Aldo Ciccolini, Michel Béroff and Jean-Yves Thibaudet. Laureate of the Orléans International Piano Competition and of the Maurice Ravel International Academy, she was invited to participate in the Masterclass of G. Ligeti studies with Pierre-Laurent Aimard and Tamara Stephanovich, as part of “Britten-Pears young artist program ”at the 67th Aldeburgh Festival. Recently she performed her retical in Orléans as part of the public season of “Matinée de piano”.
In parallel with her career as a pianist, she entered the piano accompaniment class of Michel Tranchant and then of David Selig where she completed her master’s degree in 2013, unanimously with high honors. After her studies, she was regularly invited to work for various musical establishments, notably Les Petits chanteurs de St. Marc and the Opéra de Lyon. By working in close collaboration with great musicians such as Philippe Bernold, Olivier Charlier and Françoise Pollet, she is invited to the “Nice Classic Live” festival for the summer season 2018 to accompany the concert of program winners. “Prodigy” with Elisabeth Vidal and André Cognet.
She is currently the accompanist of the Lyon Opera Ballet and the Lyon CNSMD in the choreographic department.
