After a full course in the conservatories of Nantes, Boulogne-Billancourt and Lille, Yoan Héreau trained at the National Superior Conservatory of Music and Dance of Paris in the classes of Singing Direction (Erika Guiomar), Vocal Accompaniment (Anne Le Bozec) and Chamber Music (Claire Désert and Amy Flammer). Following his studies, he joined the Académie de l’Opéra national de Paris as a vocal lead pianist for three seasons.

He works closely with soprano Raquel Camarinha.

His various activities lead him to collaborate with conductors such as Ottavio Dantone, Philippe Jordan, Marc Minkowski, Daniel Harding, Philippe Herreweghe, Matthias Pintscher, Donato Renzetti, Giacomo Sagripanti in France (Opéra Bastille, Opéra Garnier, Philharmonie de Paris, Théâtre des Champs Elysées, Théâtre du Châtelet) and abroad (Germany, Belgium, China, Spain, United States, Japan, Lithuania, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Switzerland).

Attracted by the conductor himself, in June 2017 he conducted four performances of the ballet The Little Match Girl Passion by Simon Valastro at the Palais Garnier as well as L’Heure Espagnole by Maurice Ravel during the summer of 2018.

Concerned about today’s music, he participates in many creations: Macbeth underworld by Pascal Dusapin, Giordano Bruno by Francesco Filidei, Aliados by Sebastian Rivas, La Passion de Simone by Kaija Saariaho (chamber version), Thanks to my eyes by Oscar Bianchi and Parables by Noel Lee.

He was also the sponsor of seven melody creations around the poetry of Paul Verlaine in March 2013.

Last season was marked by the release of Rencontre, the first duet album recorded with Raquel Camarinha for the Naïve label and unanimously acclaimed by the critics.

This season will see the release of two new opuses for the Mirare label with Raquel Camarinha and the complete Chopin melodies as well as Schubert’s Winterreise with bass baritone Edwin Crossley-Mercer.
