Shinobu Tanaka, born in Japan, began her musical studies at the age of 3. She obtained her master’s degree in musical pedagogy at the University of Hiroshima, and the 3rd grand prize of the Japan Classical Music Competition in 1999. In Japan she performed as a soloist with orchestras, but passionate about chamber music, she s ‘moved to Paris in 2003 to work with Théodore Paraskivesco, Haruko Ueda and Jean-Jacques Kantorow. In France, she studied at the CRD of Gennevilliers where she obtained a 1st prize for Piano, mention very well and a 1st prize for Chamber Music, mention very well with the congratulations of the jury. She is also rewarded during international competitions, she notably obtains the 1st prize of the musical competition of France (formation of Piano with 4 hands) in 2005.
Also passionate about contemporary music, she performs in concert with Ensemble 2e2m and Ensemble Court-Circuit.
She is currently an accompanist at the CRD de Gennevilliers and at the Ecole Normale de musique de Paris.
